9/17/2021 - ISG Update:
Work this week included watermain installation at 24th Avenue. In addition, utility relocation work at the 24th Avenue intersection is occurring, including the
installation of a cattlepass to allow access to utilities within the intersection without interrupting traffic flow.
Next week work is planned to include the remaining watermain installation, storm sewer installation and continued continued utility coordination at 24th Avenue.
Following this work the contractor expects to begin preparing the subbase to form the new roundabout at the 24th Avenue intersection.
The intersection of Park Drive and W. Bridge street is open to three directions of traffic, with with the north, east and south legs open to both directions of traffic and the west leg closed to traffic during this phase of the project. Some work will continue to occur along the roadway and at the Park Dr intersection as needed.
Please continue to use caution and follow the detour routes as work will continue to finalize Phase 1 and progress Phase 2.
This project is phased and is anticipated to generally follow the phasing plan as shown in the image below. Currently, the contractor is performing minor work within the “Construction Phase 1” area as outlined in blue with the majority of work within “Construction Phase 1A and Phase 2” areas as outlined in pink and green, respectively.
