Owatonna firefighters responded to a structure fire in the early hours of September 22. At 3:38 AM, the Owatonna Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 2100 block of 7th Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, fire crews observed moderate smoke coming from roof vents and back patio door. All residents had safely evacuated the home.
Firefighters focused their efforts on locating the source of the fire and smoke ventilation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
